Erin and Jen are amazing! They did the hair and makeup for my wedding party and everyone looked absolutely beautiful and lasted all night! They suggested the perfect styles for the girls who didn't know what they wanted and did exactly as we hope for the girls who did know what they want! Definitely would recommend! I will absolutely be a client for life!!!

First time visit to salon J and I’m so happy I went! Wanted to find a new salon home in downtown NH and Tali has locked that in for me. She was kind, professional, efficient and most of all, a talented stylist. I don’t go often but I will certainly be back. Thank you Tali!

They squeezed me in due to just moving here and needing a haircut before a meeting - definitely worked hard to make sure I was seen! Thank you! Making an appointment with for my wife tomorrow! *UPDATE* 04 2025 - Still amazing, Sammy has been a damn rockstar - never a negative experience and always on the spot with male and female haircuts, beards, and styling!

Sam is a fantastic hairdresser! I´ve been aroound to many stylist, but the care, passion, and time Sam put into my hair is uncomparable. She really listened to what I wanted and delivered above and beyond. I have A LOT of hair and Sam did not rush through my haircut and dryout. She really took the time and care my hair needs, and I left the salon looking and feeling amaizing. A shoutout to the other J salon stylists who helped Sam finish my blowout so she wouldn´t get behind with other clients. I highly recommend you book an appointment with her. No bad surprises, only good ones!

I'm so over the moon with my experience at Salon j! Sam is awesome! I am a full time caregiver and hadn't had a haircut in awhile. I don't have a lot of time to spend on styling my hair...she listened to what I wanted, I showed her a photo and she did an amazing job! And she is so friendly and attentive. We discussed color options based on my lifestyle, I am 54 and going gray but need something to tame the gray and blend for easier upkeep. She consulted with me, gave me pricing and options. ( very reasonable). I was in the hair/ salon industry for over 25 years, as a salon development manager and creative manager. I am so impressed with the salon, the stylists, receptionist, and the experience, energy, talent and services. If you are reading this, book an appointment!!

Had Bella do my hair, and she did an absolutely amazing job. She was super sweet and kind too, and made me feel incredibly comfortable. Will definitely be coming back! The staff is friendly, as well.

If you need a haircut and color in New Haven this is your spot !!! Bella is AWESOME and was a magician with my hair. I love it. I wanted just a trim and a tiny bit of balayage and she did amazing exactly what I wanted. The staff are all wonderful as well :) Highly recommend but it’s a bit pricy just to set expectations !!

I was visiting New Haven from out of town for a wedding and booked an appointment with Erin for an updo. From start to finish, the experience was fantastic! Erin was incredibly professional and thoughtful—she asked about my time constraints, whether the event was outdoors, and other details to ensure the style would hold up perfectly. She worked efficiently, and I was out the door in under an hour with a beautiful updo that exceeded my expectations.
